My creative process
Hi everyone!
It’s been some time since I launched my little book baby. Since then, I’ve been experimenting with social media advertising - and of course: guilting all my friends, family, and former loves to buy my book. ; )
I’m excited recently, because putting my work out there in the world has really lit me up about my writing. My creative process was a bit unique with “We used to be lovers” - as it is a collection of poems written in iPhone notes, napkins, notebooks, etc….kind of all over the place.
This past weekend, I was making my usual (compulsive) Target run, and i spotted a large Moleskin notebook. I’ve always found it really romantic and interesting that a lot of writers outline their novels first, and then do the writing. It really is a great way to process the story in my opinion, so I decided to buy my little notebook and start outlining my second book - a love story…because I LOVE love stories.
Fun fact: I have written a novel before, but it’s definitely hidden away in the closet somewhere, and I’ll only pull it out if I need a break from developing new storylines.
For now, I am a fresh baby writer and I have so many ideas that I can’t wait to share with you!
Cheers.
